"Oh my goodness, was he in the war party? Why would they bring a cub into battle? That's horrible. Well its good that you're taking him in, Buta. You're mate should be happy to help raise the little guy." She laughed and put a paw gently on his head. "What will you name him?"

Liseli blinked. She wasn't sure what to say. "You did? Why?" She tried to look at his face, but he ducked down so she couldn't see him. The way he was acting told her everything. He liked her. "Oh..." She trailed off. It was awkward between them with Toreek and Sheiba. She saw that he was embarassed, so she said, "Thanks, that was really nice of you." It sounded really stupid just then, and she couldn't read the others' faces. She didn't know how to act.

Sheiba growled "No, I did." she said, snapping kind of. She DID give Liseli meat, huffing some her short temper came back. She looked away, kind of pouting like a small child. Grumbling that she had gave her the meat, at least half of it.
(She did give Liseli meat, I'm guessing no one read my post then.)

Liseli was confused. Was Buta lying? She didn't know him as well as she did her sister Sheiba. Now that she thought about it, she had smelled meat in a darker corner of her den. After that she fell asleep and saw the bundle in front of her den. "One sec, guys." She padded to her den, and sure enough in the back corner there was a hunk of meat sitting there. Liseli felt bad that she hadn't eaten Sheiba's meat too, and now it was rotting. Reluctantly, she picked it up and carried it out for the buzzards to eat. She walked back to the group. "I'm sorry I didn't see yours until now Sheiba. I woke up and everything was fuzzy. Thanks for looking out for me though." She knew Sheiba might get mad, but she hoped she would forgive her.

Sheiba blinked some, frowning a bit "It's OK." she said, before standing up and stretching. "I'mma go watch the sun set, I'll be back later." she said, not at all mad or sad or anything. She then padded off towards one of the hills she had spotted the sun set before. As she reached the top she plopped down, huffing some as she stared at the sky some as it would slowly turn into the red, pink, and yellow sky she use to watch with Derk.

Swift sat away from the clearing, licking his wounds. He hadn't realized just how bad he had been hurt till the bloodlust was over. One of his eyes was so sore he didn't dare see what happened. Stretching out in the shade, he lay down on his side and closed his eyes for a minute
Skiiiiiiiping~
When Swift woke up it was around the afternoon. Most of the clan had left the clearing and all the bodies had been gotten rid of. Blood was caked in Swift's fur and under his paws so he decided he would wash off in the stream he would soon pass on his way back. He could open his eye a little bit now, but it was blurry and still sore. Swift growled to himself. The last thing he wanted was to be blind in one eye. He padded down to the stream. Before he broke the waters icy calm, he glanced down. What he saw was not good. He hated how the scent of death still lingered on him. Snarling with disgust he wadded into the stream, making sure to scratch most of the blood off.
Swift suddenly froze. He could hear something coming from his left. Inconspicuously turning his head to face the sound, he spied a small nose sticking out from a bush. Fangs bared he waited for the creature to show itself before he made a strike. Anger turned into surprise as he watched a small white fox pup emerge. It obviously doesn't realize the dangers out here Swift thought to himself. And what was a tiny fox pup doing out here wandering alone
The pup obviously hadn't seen Swift yet, otherwise he would've stopped coming towards the river by now. The pup took a drink from the river then looked up in fright. With a sharp yip it ran all the way into the bushes again. Swift could tell that it was still there, probably watching him. Swift waded out of the river and padded to where the pup was hiding. He could smell the fear or it from a mile away... so could they he thought as he saw a large badger waddle out with its nose to the air. Fangs bared he snapped at the badger driving it away from the little pup. After what seemed a lifetime, Swift decided there was nothing he could do but let the pup go about his business, where ever its mother had scampered off too. Had it been an older fox, Swift would have killed it on site. Foxes were notorious for attacking pups and cubs of the Rakuen clan, but he would not kill a fox pup, even though it could grow up and kill one of the new Rakuen cubs. Swift would have to deal with it then.
As Swift walked away toward the dens, he was well aware of the pup slowly following him. When he got closer to the main area of the Rakuen site, he turned around and snarled. The cub was a few paw lengths away from him, and ran away squealing with fright. Who knows what the clan would do to the fox pup. He hadn't just saved it from a badger to have to save it again. "Be gone pup" he growled. When he was certain the pup would not follow him anymore, he strode out into the clearing, giving a small nod to one of his clan mates before making his way to his sleeping tree

[[I'm gonna skip a bit to where Liseli found what Buta said awkward and Sheiba left the group. Toreek had told Sheiba he didn't know from where the cub was at this point]]
As the ebony lioness left, Toreek felt more at ease. He still wasn't intirely comfortable around her due to what had happened the day before. But he could see she was a caring lioness like all the others.
After the awkward momment from just before with Buta and Liseli, Toreek found it best to just leave them alone to talk.
"Come here, Gonza. Let's play for a while, hm?." he said grabbing a few feathers from his mane and wiggling them in front of the tiny cub. Excited, Gonza pranced after Toreek and the dangling feathers from his mouth, playing happily with his new "uncle". That's how Toreek felt anyway. Like an uncle to this cub. Eventually they were both far away from the princess and Buta, so they could talk undisturbed.

Buta looked at Liseli saying ''sorry if it was hard.... But I.... well um-....'' Buta looked up into the sky. Buta closed his eyes and said ''when I set my eyes on you.... I fell in love...'' As be opened his eyes and looked back at Liseli ''But the feeling I had was so great. I had to do something... But I care those around me. even if it has to involve something, yet hard to describe...'' Buta then lowed his ears. ''That's when I got worried....''
Buta then looked away. ''I think'd about it.. and did what had to be done....''
Buta raised his ears. ''But... At least your safe....''
Buta looked back at Liseli with a wide grin smile.

Liseli gazed into Buta's blue eyes and saw the grin on his face. A million thoughts ran through her mind. She didn't wanna hurt his feelings and she wasn't completely sure about him since she was new to him. She was flattered and shy at the same time, two feelings she had never had in her whole life. "Buta, I don't know what to say, I just didn't know..." She trailed off, not sure of her feelings. Only time would tell if he was the one for her.

(Odd Daz is odd. O.o)
Dazaine giggled quietly as she watched Gonza play with the feathers that Toreek held, whiskers twitching in amusement. Gonza was a fitting name. For some reason, he just seemed very... well, Gonza ish. He seemed like a crazy, all-over-the-place, hyper, kind of cub. She was very interested in the cub, almost amazed by his nature. The way he bounced from side to side, the way he managed to somehow end up in he oddest positions, only achieved by cubs. It was all... new to her, the way he didn't seem to have a care in this stressful world. Dazaine had never seen a cub like Gonza. The ones she had seen at the pride she was born into were boring, and dull, The least bit like Gonza. At a young age, the cubs there were taught that fun was bad. That it would only get them hurt, and into trouble. They were not like Daz. Dazaine was often used as an example when the adults were teaching the little ones about fun and its dangers, when she was a cub. But that was then, and this is now. This was Rakuen pride, not the one she grew up in. A pain stricken gaze covered her features and she shook her head to clear it. Thinking about her past would not help anybody. She focused on Gonza once again, and found herself following after him and Toreek. The lioness laughed as Gonza finally flopped onto the ground beside her paws, obviously worn out from all of the playing. Dazaine, despite her efforts not to, layed down beside the cub, watching him with her head on her paws. Her gaze flew to Toreek, pondering what his reaction would be to her sudden actions.
